The kit is manufactured in steel and consists of all the brackets and fasteners you need to further upgrade your KRX from the Kawasaki Alternator to a GM high power alternator, we recommend the high performance Mechman 170 Amp alternator (available as an option), however, any standard Delco 10DN, 10SI and 12SI Alternator fitted to most 63-85 GM vehicles will fit.

Fitment: All Kawasaki KRX models. The bracket kit works with the Kawasaki alternator kit (Kawasaki Item # 99994-1560). The full conversion kit includes the additional parts necessary to convert from the Stator charging system to the alternator.

Notes: Installation uses stock belt and cover. The bracket assembly is in a natural finish. No special tools required for installation.

The Mechman 170A Racing alternator option is an S series 6 phase hairpin alternators that offers incredible low RPM output in a compact and durable package. Highly efficient, these units use less horsepower than conventional 3 phase alternators. 12 diodes, twin rectifier plates and outstanding airflow ensure much better durability than standard Delco based alternators, even in severe conditions. The custom designed housing directly replaces standard Delco 10DN, 10SI and 12SI alternators on most 1963 through 1985 GM vehicles. A side output stud and seamless rear cover with a side output plug allow for better clearance from the back of the alternator to the front of the engine and a smooth appearance. A single wire on the provided pigtail gets connected to any ignition switched 12V+ source to turn the alternator on and off with the ignition switch. Simply run a properly sized positive and ground cable from the alternator to the terminals of the battery and the alternator will work perfectly.
